Marzari is situated on one of the most picturesque hills in Croatia, located on the northwestern part of the Istrian Peninsula, only few kilometres away from the sea. The Marzari hill has a unique location: surrounded by olive groves and numerous acres of vineyards, with spectacular 360 degrees panoramic views of the western coast of Istria, the ancient town of Verteneglio and other charming little towns, the Italian Alps and even the Italian coastline can be seen when the weather has extremely clear skies. The typical Istrian intact vegetation can be enjoyed from the site as well.
The hill is named after the family Marzari from Buie which were the first owners of the property. They built a beautiful venetian house with a stable, and today, the ruins on the top of the hill are the proof of their lives. One of the greatest advantages of the land is the easy access by road, air and sea. The closest international airports are in Pula, Trieste, Ljubljana and Venice. Access to Europe is also secured through the highway “Istrian Y”. This highway connects Pula with Trieste along the western coast of Istria, Rijeka and the Croatian mainland. Marzari is located 5 km from the nearest exit from the highway.
