Here are some of the activities that you can embark on.
Cycling
If you are looking for an adventurous day in the country or a bike ride along the coast, there are numerous bike tours you can go on. Due to the excellent climatic conditions and 10 cycling trails with a total length about 250 km, Poreč is an ideal destination for trainings of professional cyclists as well as for amateurs to enjoy nature. On the other hand, inland central Istria has 21 maintained and marked trails. The trails are technically demanding because of the surface, there are lot of ascents and descents and are perfectly suitable for experienced cyclists. Although the trails are demanding, you can enjoy in very impressive panoramic view.
Paragliding
The paragliding season lasts all year round – all that is required are favourable weather conditions, meaning the right wind direction, predominantly sunny weather free of turbulences or the bora wind. There are 10 take-off sites in Northern Istria that are 30-45 min. drive from Pula, Poreč or Rovinj. The terrain is suitable for cross-country flights over 100 km.
Diving
Apart from its well-developed coastline and crystal clean sea, Brijuni National Park diverse undersea world with attractive flora and fauna hides numerous protected species. The undersea world of the Brijuni National Park offers the possibility for autonomous diving by organized diving groups guidance. The underwater trail in Verige Bay on the southern side of Veli Brijun offers a unique experience of visiting natural and archaeological sites of the exceptionally rich and well preserved marine world of Brijuni National Park.
