Green tourism places significant importance on nature, culture, tradition, and the people who inhabit the area. That is why we present you a booklet full of information about the eco experience in Istria. The booklet consists of 77 pages and 12 titles.
The brochure was created with the aim of putting everything in one place and informing you about certified eco amenities and offers of Istria, ranging from accommodation to eco producers, green beaches and events nurturing this philosophy, all the way to the protected areas of Istria, eco museums and eco-friendly activities. The goal is also to make locals and tourists aware of the protection of natural resources and proper behaviour towards protected areas and monuments. There is also a long list of eco museums, galleries, exhibitions and activities to increase your knowledge of Istrian culture and rural heritage. Explore traditional Istrian stone houses, the construction of Kažun or discover a long history of olive planting and olive oil production. If you are more into events and buying local products, go through the list of events that consist from an eco market to a festival that celebrates the importance of the sea, there will be something for everyone.
It even contains a map on which you can easily find all eco producers in Istria, blue flag beaches, charging stations for e-cars and e-bikes and many more.

The brochure was produced by the Administrative Department of Tourism for the Istria Region, using the principles of sustainable development as outlined in the Region of Istria Green Plan document, which Istria actively promotes.
