The walls of Novigrad are the result of painstaking work by local craftsmen who, in their archaic, old-fashioned way, erected and repaired high ramparts, built of hewn rubble. The top belt of the walls made in the form of a toothed crown (merlatura) is a typical feature of medieval defensive architecture.

After construction, the belt of the ramparts was renovated several times and reinforced with round Renaissance towers. The quadrangular tower preserved next to the city gate, which was once the main entrance to Novigrad, dates from an earlier period.

There are also assumptions that the medieval walls were built on much older, ancient foundations. The most recent reconstruction of the walls was done in 2004 and 2005, when parts of Prolaz Venecize Street and the coastal section near the park were renovated.

Particular features are the preserved hundred-year-old oak and mulberry trees, as well as views of vineyards, the sea, or olive groves. In the yard of this villa, you can enjoy the outdoor kitchen, two terraces, and an outdoor pool built on the foundations and ruins of an old stone house. The entire location of the house and property covers a total of 1010 square meters, and the house is 270 square meters that includes four bedrooms, each with its bathroom. There is a considerable open space with a kitchen and dining area. A particularly luxurious part of the house Gornji Srbani is the indoor wellness with an outdoor lounge area.

Maj Townhouses

Maj Townhouses offer several units and are located in Veli Maj in Poreč, the most popular tourist resort in Istria. These trendy constructions were cleverly designed to offer privacy to every resident. On each side, there are five houses, each with its garden, and parking. Six of the houses have sea views. Each property is divided into two floors with a total size of about 70 square meters, which includes a kitchen, dining room, living room, and terrace, while the bedrooms and bathroom are located on the second floor. Only two kilometers away is the center of Poreč, and the first beach is only 950 meters away.

Wine tasting tours

Spend the day tasting the best wines at one of the most famous Istrian vineyards accompanied by an amazing culinary experience. Can you imagine a better day on your summer vacation?

What does the experience entail?

The activity includes transport and a visit to the three best wineries in Istria. There you will indulge in a rich offer of various varieties of wine (10-15 wines!). Furthermore, wine tasting will be accompanied with excellent traditional finger food.

Traditional Istrian dinner at the villa

A private cook will come to the villa and prepare a mouth-watering gourmet dinner for you and your party. Traditional Istrian specialties are, of course, on the menu with a modern twist.

Regarding “special” dinners, if you would like something romantic, we can organize a motorboat to pick you up from the villa and take you to the island of Sveti Nikola (15 min. away) to have dinner there. It is a beautiful location, and we would recommend dinner at sunset, around 19.00 – it’s breathtaking!

One day boat rentals

Book a boat to visit one of many islands in the Istrian archipelago. We would also like to recommend a one-day boat trip around the beautiful Istrian bays. It’s perfect for a comfortable one-day tour especially with small kids because the boat meets all safety requirements.

The tour takes you to the beautiful landscapes of Poreč, Vrsar, Lim Channel, Red Island (near Rovinj with sandy beach), and Rovinj. This activity includes a skipper, boat fuel, food, drinks, wifi, and diving/fishing equipment.

Bicycle tours

If you are looking for an adventurous day in the country or a bike ride along the coast, let us know and we’ll arrange bicycles and a tour guide to take you around.

What does the experience entail?

One of the bike trails is called “The trail of friendship and health”. It is around 20 km long and it’s slightly downhill so everybody, even with a little fitness level can go on this tour. Therefore, the tour includes pick-up from the villa and drop-off to the villa, rental of the bicycles, the guide, drinks, and a meal.

Truffle hunting

If you want to experience a unique day in the Istrian forest, go truffle hunting with us. The black truffle is found and hunted all year round, so this experience is available to you whenever you decide to visit Istria.

Each villa is oriented towards the southwest, featuring four ensuite rooms with walk-in showers, a large kitchen, an open-plan living room, and a toilet. The living room exits onto a landscaped garden, surrounded by stone walls, with a swimming pool and a sunbathing area. The villas are equipped with a climate control system and heated floors. The villas consist of two two-story houses and two one-story houses placed in a row, one beneath the other, on spacious 2,000 m2 plots.
