Sveti Nikola Island, Poreč
Less than half a kilometer from the mainland in Poreč lies Sveti Nikola Island. This little island is a superb place to escape the summer crowds in town. Cape Kamenjak, Premantura

Protected nature park Cape Kamenjak in the south of Istria, on the Premantura peninsula, is known for its beautiful beaches and natural beauty. The indented coast stretches for 30 kilometers and hides many picturesque coves and islands. Families with children can enjoy the sandy beaches, and those looking for sunbathing can find places on the rocky flat rocks. Kamenjak is also a famous diving destination due to its extremely rich underwater world and the conditions are ideal for surfers.
Hawaiian, Pula
The Hawaiian Beach is located near the Verudela Beach tourist resort in the most picturesque bay. This pebble beach with crystal clear sea is ideal for families with small children as they can safely play in the shallows. There are several hotels with sport facilities and restaurants, where you can spend some of the day. If you long for adrenaline challenges, you can dive into the azure sea from high rocks or go snorkelling.
Katoro beach, Umag
Not far from Umag, in the tourist village of Katoro you can find the beach under the same name. The beach is perfect for families with small children as one part is located under the large pine trees, which provide pleasant shade for parents while the children play in the shallows. Near the beach, there are two attractive outdoor pools and spacious lawns where you can play football or badminton. Also, above the beach there is a children’s playground and tennis courts.
Lanterna, Rabac
A beautiful pebble beach Lanterna is located near a picturesque forest and a tourist resort. You can enjoy water sports, while lifeguards look after your safety and keep their eyes on the swimmers throughout the day. There’s also a swimming pool, a mini-golf course and a waterpark. Lanterna Beach has been awarded the Blue Flag because of its superb maintenance and water quality.
