In collaboration with Hiša Franko and San Rocco – Boutique Hotel, Visit Brtonigla Verteneglio organized “Back to origins” press trip. Journalists from all over the world had the opportunity to discover the town of Brtonigla and its surroundings, so that this charming region gets more tourists excited to come and visit. Journalists enjoyed local products like cheese, wine, olive oil at a traditional Istrian party with accordion and got to meet Ana Roš – world famous chef from Hiša Franko.
Also, among other things, journalists got familiar with OPG Radošević, the first Istrian cheese factory, Veralda Winery, the Italian Community of Villanova, and made local pasta “fuži” with chicken stew, sauerkraut, local wines, ham and pancetta, and “crostoli” for dessert.
Hiša Franko dues its existence to traditions and local environment of the lush Soča Valley – harsh, remote, but breathtakingly beautiful part of Slovenia. In June 2020, when the first edition of the Slovenian Michelin guide was revealed, Hiša Franko received two Michelin stars.
